Parties for Life are a great way to get into the holiday spirit, share a good meal and have a great time with family and friends. AIDSCare invites you to give the season more warmth by hosting a Parties for Life benefit. Parties for Life support programs and services, raise HIV/AIDS awareness, and sends good will and cheer to more than 125 men, women and children living on our North Lawndale Campus.
AIDSCare’s volunteers support the agency in fulfilling its mission by providing much needed support
for our programs and events. Please visit our Volunteer page for more information.
This winter, women and children on AIDSCare’s North Lawndale Housing Campus are in need of your help.
According to the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, women account for more than a quarter of all new HIV/AIDS infections (27% or 9,708) each year, a demographic largely overlooked. The families living on AIDSCare’s campus are headed by single, African American mothers. Out of the 22 mothers currently living on the campus, 13 are the sole caregivers of a child between the ages of 0 and 17 years. There are 25 children currently living on the campus.
For them, the fight against HIV/AIDS is a daily battle. We ask you to join the fight!
